Sunday Yoga – My Maternity Cover

As many of you will now know I will soon take some time away from the yoga-teaching-scene, to have my first baby and so throw myself into the world of a newborn and motherhood.

My teaching will take a short break – approximately 6 months for group classes – and I will be back with a vengeance in 2018.

My timings are flexible, so I will be in touch next year.

Sunday Yoga from 19th November onwards…

My Sunday class will not cease….hurrah!

I am so eager to keep the brilliant momentum going, and to ensure the Sunday habit isn’t lost, therefore I am thrilled to confirm that our Sunday yoga will be covered throughout my maternity leave, by a lovely teacher, Sophie Higgins.

When?

Sophie will cover the class starting Sunday 19th November.

What will NOT change?

  • The style of yoga remains the same.
  • The day, time, duration of the class remains the same (Sundays, 9:30-10:45am)
  • The location and studio-space remains the same (Haelan Centre Upper Studio, Crouch End, N8 8DT)
  • The cost also remains the same (£15 drop-in, £65 for a 5-class-pass)

Who is Sophie?

Sophie is a yoga teacher and registered nutritional therapist, and has been living and working in
London for the past 10 years.

Sophie teaches vinyasa flow classes that are dynamic, playful, and challenging, but most importantly, fun! A sense of inquiry and exploration are encouraged in each class, to truly allow for the discovery of one’s own unique and individual yoga practice. A focus on building strength and stability in muscles and joints is always present, to enable and facilitate safe, careful, and precise movement. The breath, carefully instructed alignment, the use of Bandhas, and meditation, are also explored. Sophie aims to cultivate calming and nurturing classes, that bring together individuals from all walks of life, and which generate a sense of community and togetherness.
